Robert F. Bish, 89, of DuBois, passed away Sunday, December 1, 2013 at his home.

He was born on September 2, 1924 in Frostburg, PA the son of the late William and Annie Grace (Horn) Bish.

On July 6, 1943, he married Dorothy J. (Brocious) Bish, who passed away on October 2, 2013. They recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary.

Bob served in the United States Navy during WWII in the Atlantic and Pacific Theaters. He was the owner of Bish's Atlantic Service for many years. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

Bob was an avid hunter and fishermen. He enjoyed camping and fishing with his wife. In high school he played football, baseball and listened to barbershop quartets. He loved being with his family and had a special relationship with his grandchildren and great grandchildren, he will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his three children: Patty A. Hewitt of Dubois, Robert W. and his wife Ruth, of DuBois and Richard W. and his wife Jodie of DuBois; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Jane Willison of Corsica, PA and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two sisters: Betty Shaffer and Ruth Walls and a brother, William Bish.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at the Mohney Yargar Funeral Chapel, Inc. with Pastor Melissa Kraus officiating. Full military honors will be accorded by the DuBois Area Honor Guard. Burial will be in Lakelawn Memorial Park.

Friends will be received from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 6:00pm-8:00pm on Tuesday, December 3, at the Mohney Yargar Funeral Chapel, Inc. an additional hour of viewing will be held on Wednesday from 10:00am until the hour of service.
