Marjorie was born in Madison, beginning a long and rich life with her parents; Paul and Julia Stark and siblings. She grew up in Nakoma and graduated from West High. She attended UW-Madison, earning a degree in art. She worked as a commercial artist, art teacher and later as a fine artist. Marge was generous with her skills, time and talent in the community, passing on her knowledge to many. She was truly gifted.
She married Alfred on Sept. 28, 1951 and after a brief stay in Washington State, settled in Madison to raise a family. They were wonderful parents, providing a stable, welcoming and fun-loving home to family and friends. She was preceded in death by her son Douglas, daughter Paula, husband Alfred, and sisters Dorothy Adams, Jane Savidusky and brother Richard Stark.
