She was united in marriage with Ammon Jul Sexe on 20 October 1951 in Flandreau. After their marriage, they lived in Watertown, South Dakota, where Sally was employed by Brown Clinic. In 1968, they moved to Huron, where Sally worked at the Tschetter-Holm Clinic. The family moved to Fort Dodge, Iowa in 1974. There Sally worked for First Federal Savings and Loan until her retirement in 1988. After moving to Sioux Falls in 1989, Sally worked for Pediatric Specialists.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Ladies Church Circle. She enjoyed doing crafts and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Sally died as the result of breast cancer on 4 August 1992. She was preceded in death by her father. She is survived by her mother, husband, three children, four grandchildren, one stepson, and two siblings. She will be missed by all who knew her.
