Mrs. Susanna Elizabeth McHaffie, 69 years old, died at 12 o'clock Friday night at her home in Cardin following a brief illness. She became ill last week while visiting at the home of a son at Diamond, Mo., and was returned to Picher in a Todd ambulance. Mrs. McHaffie had lived in Cardin and Picher since 1917.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Blanch Davis of Vinita, Mrs. Ruby Snyder of Carthage, Mo., Mrs. Osie Herron of Cardin and Mrs. Alta Leonard of Picher; two sons, George McHaffie of Diamond, Mo., and Joe McHaffie of Cardin; one sister, Mrs. Lydia Klinefelter of Madisonburg, Pa.; 29 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Assembly of God church at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon. The Rev. Jesse McGuire will officiate. Burial will be in GAR cemetery at Miami under direction of the Todd Undertaking company.
