The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday at the mortuary with the Rev. Melissa A. McDade officiating. Interment immediately following in Stewartstown Cemetery.
Born March 19, 1934 in York, he was the son of the late William Samuel Baublitz and Catherine Sara (Shorb) Baublitz. He retired in 1996 from the former Mrs. Smith's Pie Company in York, after 45 years as a packer and foreman. He was a member of the Bakery-Confectioners Union. An ardent family man, his most enjoyable pastime was spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, Gloria, he is survived by three sons, Edward H. Baublitz, Jr. and wife Wanda of Stewartstown, Thomas W. Baublitz and wife Wendy of Red Lion and Garth E. 'Butch' Baublitz and wife Aileen of Felton; two daughters, Candy L. Ring and husband Terry of Stewartstown and Jennifer M. Baublitz of Stewartstown; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a brother, William Shorb Baublitz of York. He was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Baublitz and a sister, Shirley Heller, both of York and a granddaughter, Angelia. Memorial contributions may be made to the Dialysis Center of York, 308 St. Charles Way, York, PA 17402; the American Diabetes Association, 3544 N.
