Lula Elizabeth Carr Foshee, 95, passed away peacefully while surrounded by family at Big Springs Specialty Care Center on Friday. She was born in Autauga County and was a 61 year resident of Montgomery prior to moving to Huntsville. While living in Montgomery, she was a member of the Highland Avenue Baptist Church and later the Covenant Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, the Rev. Walter L. Carr and Ziana Manning Carr; husband, Roy L. Foshee; sons, Maurice L. Foshee and Charles Edgar Foshee; nine brothers; and three sisters. She is survived by three daughters, Catherine Foshee Culver and husband, Chester, of Clemson, S.C., Mary Will Foshee Lunceford and Juanita Foshee Lanford of Birmingham; one son, James E. Foshee and wife, Hazel, of Huntsville; daughters-in-law, Marilyn Foshee and Joan Foshee; and one sister, Ruth Carr Hunt of Prattville. She was a loving grandmother to 16 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
