Decorah, Ia. - The remains of Pvt. Lester Bakken, son of Mrs. and Mrs. K. O. Bakken, were to arrive in Decorah Friday.
Funeral services will be Monday at First Lutheran church.
He was born June 13, 1922, and entered service Nov. 17, 1942. He went overseas in November, 1944, and was killed in action in January, 1945.
Surviving are his parents, five brothers and sisters, Henry, Robert, Nels, and Mrs. Oscar Hovey, Decorah; Joseph, Cedar Rapids.

Company B, 327th Engineer Combat Battalion, 102nd Infantry Division. Death due to explosion in company area. An explosion leveled a block of buildings killing an estimated 15 of Company B and wounding 30 more.
