She was born on April 15, 1938, the daughter of the late Maxwell and Ida (Dahlburg) Cravens and was a life resident of Scott County. Rachel was a retired baker for Walmart in Scottsburg, Indiana where she worked for about 14 years and a Seamstress for the old Excello Shirt Factory in Seymour, Indiana for 13 years and was a member of Kimberlin Creek Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert E. Beswick on July 28, 1976, her second husband, Everett N. Briner on June 26, 1995; her parents and a sister Bertha Faye Cravens.
Survivors include four sons, Dennis Beswick (Phyllis) of Crothersville, Robert Beswick (Bruce) of Louisville, Steven Beswick (Debbie) of Crothersville and Chris Briner of Scottsburg; three daughters, Brenda K. Yount (Dennis) of Scottsburg, Karen Frankenberger (Rusty) of Whiteland, Indiana and Lorraine Harding (Allen) of Crothersville; a brother, Paul Cravens of Scottsburg; 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Service was Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013 at Collins Funeral Home with burial in Scottsburg Cemetery.
