He was born in Amarillo, Texas on Oct. 1, 1954 to Harold and Barbara Williams. He graduated from Llano High School and subsequently lived in a variety of places throughout Texas, upstate New York, and Canada. Among his greatest joys were cowboy life, singing, and telling stories. In his last conversations with family and friends, he assured all he was at peace with God and ready to go.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Doug Williams and his father, Harold Williams.
He is survived by his son, Chad and his wife Susanna Williams and grandson Seth Williams all from Austin, Texas; his mother, Barbara Williams of Rye, Colorado; his brothers Dick Williams of Austin, Texas; Ron Williams of DeKalb Junction, NY; and his sister Mary and her husband Bill Muse of Kerrville, Texas.
In the Eldorado area, his family members include Billy and Beverly Williams, Claryce Runge, Steve and Ilse Williams, and Leon Williams. Although not directly related, Hyman Sauer and Ronnie Sauer both treated him like family as well.
J. Lynn's request was to donate his body to Texas Tech University Medical School; therefore there will be no burial. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
