Lee Milton Bowen
1920 - 2014

On August 4, 2014, our cherished patriarch peacefully passed away at 93, of age related causes. He joined the Marine Corps and married Donna Taylor just prior to serving in the South Pacific during WWII. Donna preceded him in death in 2004. He made his living by designing beautiful custom furniture, however, his legacy will endure in the hearts of his family: Lee Anne Tann (David), Christine Bowen (Dan), Rob Bowen (Janet), Marty Bowen (Holly), Laurie Piepgrass (Chris), Cindy Spies (Duane), 17 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. He was a master photographer and checkers player, and a prize winning candy, bread, and pie maker. He loved reading, music, gardening, and helping his wife with her canning. He will be remembered for his many, many wonderful qualities. He was loyal, honest, and brave, with a quiet, compassionate nature. He was a practical, positive thinker. A graveside service held at Springfield Memorial Gardens.
