WAYNE TOWNSHIP — Harlan L. Noxon, age 81, of Wayne Township, Ohio, died Sunday, August 3, 2014 at Burton Health Care Center.
He was born April 28, 1933, in Wayne Township, Ohio, the son of Harold J. and Alathea (Tinker) Noxon.
A lifetime Wayne resident, Mr. Noxon was a Veteran of the Korean War having served in the U.S. Army. He owned and operated "Noxon Insurance Agency" in Kinsman for many years; and he drove school bus for Badger Schools for 25 years. Most recently, Mr. Noxon worked in the summer for Ashtabula County mowing. He was a long time member of the Andover Christian Church, where he served as a former Deacon and was a choir member. He was also a member of the Harry Lees American Legion Post #506, Kinsman; and he served as a fireman for the Kinsman and Wayne Volunteer Fire Departments. He enjoyed gardening, camping, golfing, reading, and doing crossword puzzles.
Mr. Noxon is survived by his wife, JoAnn (Capozzio) Noxon, whom he married Feb. 24, 1968, of Wayne Township; daughter, Leann Mercer of Andover, Ohio; son, Anthony Noxon of Andover, Ohio; daughter, Rhonda (Rory) Buie of Hubbard, Ohio; son, Donald (Daveda) Noxon of Wayne Township; daughter, Shirley (Robert) Prim of Nashville, Tenn.; daughter, Sherry Pohlod of Warren, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Evelyn Mathews.
A Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, August 7th, at Andover Christian Church, Stillman Ave., Andover, with Pastor Robert Gears officiating. Burial will follow in Hayes Cemetery, Wayne Township, Ohio.
Calling Hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, August 6th, at the Church.

WAYNE TOWNSHIP — Harlan L. Noxon, age 81, of Wayne Township, Ohio, died Sunday, August 3, 2014 at Burton Health Care Center.
He was born April 28, 1933, in Wayne Township, Ohio, the son of Harold J. and Alathea (Tinker) Noxon.
A lifetime Wayne resident, Mr. Noxon was a Veteran of the Korean War having served in the U.S. Army. He owned and operated "Noxon Insurance Agency" in Kinsman for many years; and he drove school bus for Badger Schools for 25 years. Most recently, Mr. Noxon worked in the summer for Ashtabula County mowing. He was a long time member of the Andover Christian Church, where he served as a former Deacon and was a choir member. He was also a member of the Harry Lees American Legion Post #506, Kinsman; and he served as a fireman for the Kinsman and Wayne Volunteer Fire Departments. He enjoyed gardening, camping, golfing, reading, and doing crossword puzzles.
Mr. Noxon is survived by his wife, JoAnn (Capozzio) Noxon, whom he married Feb. 24, 1968, of Wayne Township; daughter, Leann Mercer of Andover, Ohio; son, Anthony Noxon of Andover, Ohio; daughter, Rhonda (Rory) Buie of Hubbard, Ohio; son, Donald (Daveda) Noxon of Wayne Township; daughter, Shirley (Robert) Prim of Nashville, Tenn.; daughter, Sherry Pohlod of Warren, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Evelyn Mathews.
A Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, August 7th, at Andover Christian Church, Stillman Ave., Andover, with Pastor Robert Gears officiating. Burial will follow in Hayes Cemetery, Wayne Township, Ohio.
Calling Hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, August 6th, at the Church.

WAYNE TOWNSHIP — Harlan L. Noxon, age 81, of Wayne Township, Ohio, died Sunday, August 3, 2014 at Burton Health Care Center.
He was born April 28, 1933, in Wayne Township, Ohio, the son of Harold J. and Alathea (Tinker) Noxon.
A lifetime Wayne resident, Mr. Noxon was a Veteran of the Korean War having served in the U.S. Army. He owned and operated "Noxon Insurance Agency" in Kinsman for many years; and he drove school bus for Badger Schools for 25 years. Most recently, Mr. Noxon worked in the summer for Ashtabula County mowing. He was a long time member of the Andover Christian Church, where he served as a former Deacon and was a choir member. He was also a member of the Harry Lees American Legion Post #506, Kinsman; and he served as a fireman for the Kinsman and Wayne Volunteer Fire Departments. He enjoyed gardening, camping, golfing, reading, and doing crossword puzzles.
Mr. Noxon is survived by his wife, JoAnn (Capozzio) Noxon, whom he married Feb. 24, 1968, of Wayne Township; daughter, Leann Mercer of Andover, Ohio; son, Anthony Noxon of Andover, Ohio; daughter, Rhonda (Rory) Buie of Hubbard, Ohio; son, Donald (Daveda) Noxon of Wayne Township; daughter, Shirley (Robert) Prim of Nashville, Tenn.; daughter, Sherry Pohlod of Warren, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Evelyn Mathews.
A Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, August 7th, at Andover Christian Church, Stillman Ave., Andover, with Pastor Robert Gears officiating. Burial will follow in Hayes Cemetery, Wayne Township, Ohio.
Calling Hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, August 6th, at the Church.
