Marieta Poston Mack of Woodbury passed away July 26, 2014 in Waco, TX. A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Central Christian Church in Hillsboro.
Marieta was born October 15, 1938 in McPherson, Kansas to Carl Holloway and Anna Stucky Holloway. She is survived by one brother, Vernon Holloway and preceded in death by her brothers, Sherman, Herman, Carl and Bobby.
She was also preceded in death by two husbands, Milton Thomas and Rudolph Poston. She is survived by John Rodgers Mack, whom she married in December 2009.
Marieta worked as a school nurse with the Hillsboro Independent School District for many years. Her care and concern for the students of Hillsboro was evident in her thoughts, words and actions toward those with whom she came in contact every day. She loved her job.
Marieta was an active member of Central Christian Church where she served as church organist, elder and trustee. Upon her retirement from the school system, she served as a parish nurse for the church, visiting those members who could no longer attend services and working with other social service agencies to meet the needs of the residents of Hill County.
