Mrs. Gloria Ann Ogletree Basinger, 81, of Ellen Street, Hartwell, died Monday, August 4, 2014 at her home.
Born on December 9, 1932 in Washington GA, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Henry Ogletree and Anne Mathis Ogletree. She was retired from Bailes Cobb Company as a sales clerk and was a member of Hartwell First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sons: Rick A. Basinger and his wife Nicki of Comer and Sam M. Basinger and his wife Wanda of Hull; one daughter: Angie Crump and her husband Richard of Hartwell; two grandchildren Ashley Bridges and Valerie Crump; three step-grandchildren: Rodney Fisher, Kelly Fisher and Russ Quarterman; one great- grandchild: Whitley Bridges and one brother: Sam Ogletree of Jacksonville, FL.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Richard A. "Dick" Basinger.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 6, 2014 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Carter Tucker officiating. Burial will be in the Memorial Garden of Prayer.
The body is at Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends Wednesday morning from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. The family is at their respective homes.
