RELAPSE FATAL TO PNEUMONIA VICTIM
H.J. ("June") Skinner, 25 years of age, brick mason, employed by Burchard and Hagerman of Ocean Park, died at the Santa Monica hospital about 10 O'clock this morning, after two weeks illness with double pheumonia.
Showing great improvement in the past few days and expecting to leave the hospital tomorrow, Skinner suffered a relapse and passed away this morning.
Mr. Skinner resided with Mr. and Mrs. Robert R. Rennie, 27 A Westminster Avenue, Venice, and it was at their home that he was suddenly stricken on Friday, April 13. The night before, while in apparently perfect health, Skinner had joked about the following day being a "jinx" day and wondered if anything would happen to him.
The body is at the Nolan Undertaking parlors. No funeral arrangements have yet been made, pending wor[d] from the young man's parents, who reside near Salt Lake City, Utah.
SKINNER RITES TO BE HELD TOMORROW
Funeral services for H.J. ("June") Skinner, who died of pneumonia at the Santa Monica hospital yesterday, will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 O'clok, from the Sharp & Nolan funeral parlors, Venice. Services will be conducted by Bishop E. J. Sorenson, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day saints. The body probably will be shipped to the parents' home at Logan, Utah.
Mr. Skinner, who was 25 years old, a brick mason employed by Burchard & Hagerman, of Ocean Park, was stricken with pneumonia about two weeks ago. He recently showed great improvement, however, and expected to leave the hospital today, but suffered sudden relapse, which terminated fatally.
