Born in Port Huron, Michigan on October 25, 1942, Rita was the daughter of the late Leo Clayton and Madeline Marian (Pemberton) Carnahan and was of the Catholic Faith. She loved reading, writing, and painting. Rita also enjoyed learning. At the age of 63, she went back to school and earned her Associate's Degree in Psychology at Columbia State Community College. Her life was filled with joy and she spent her days serving others with a smile, and just generally being a blessing to everyone around her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings: Mary Margaret, Patrick Lovell, Charles Carnahan, and Timothy Carnahan.
She is buried on Rory and Joey (Martin) Feek's property in Pottsville, Tennessee.
