Earl Cliffton Barrett was born December 29, 1948 in Davenport, Oklahoma to Floyd Raymond Barrett and Ludie Emmerine (Gilreath). He passed away August 1, 2014 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 65.
Earl grew up in Kendrick, Davenport and Stroud having graduated from Stroud High School in 1967. He married Sherry Darlene (DeShane) September 25, 1975. Earl loved hunting, fishing, and spending time with his friends, children, and grandchildren and enjoyed playing dominos.
Earl was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Ludie; son, James Curnett; brothers, Clayton Barrett, Sydney Barrett, Marion Barrett, Delbert Stoffard; and sister, Wilma Betencourt. Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Sherry Darlene Barrett of the home; children, Debbie and her husband Jimmy Stitz of Pittsburg, OK, Dwayne "Son" Barrett of Longtown, OK, Djuana "Crawdad" and her husband David Youngbllod of Lehigh, OK, Dave and his wife Cindy Barrett of Colgate, OK, Dale and his wife April Barrett of Atoka, OK, Joshua Barrett of Ardmore, OK, Dusty and his wife Amanda Barett of Shreveport, LA; (16) grandchildren; (10) great-grandchildren; brothers, Frosty Barrett, Howard Barrett, Curly Barrett; sisters, Verl Seuter, Wanda Crauthers; sister-in-law, Donna Barrett; and a host of nieces; nephews, cousins; and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at the Davenport Baptist Church with interment following at the New Zion Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston
