EAST PEORIA, IL - Kenneth E. Dickens, 75, of 107 Homestead St. died at 2:20 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2005, at his residence. Born Nov. 26, 1929, in Peoria to Leslie D. Jr. and Margaret Theissen Dickens , he married Darlene E. Haganon on Feb. 14, 1951, in Bloomington. She survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Carol (and Basel) Sheets of Virginia Beach,
Va.; one son, David (and Patricia) Dickens of Pleasanton, Calif.; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers. He worked at Caterpillar Inc. for more than 40 years, retiring as a supervisor in 1990. He received a bachelor's degree in chemistry from Bradley University in Peoria. He was a former member of the Peoria Astronomical Society. He attended Grace Presbyterian Church in Peoria. Burial will be in Fondulac Cemetery.
