Va.; one son, David (and Patricia) Dickens of Pleasanton, Calif.; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers. He worked at Caterpillar Inc. for more than 40 years, retiring as a supervisor in 1990. He received a bachelor's degree in chemistry from Bradley University in Peoria. He was a former member of the Peoria Astronomical Society. He attended Grace Presbyterian Church in Peoria. Burial will be in Fondulac Cemetery.
