"Well Known Miamian dies at Brooklyn of Heart Failure
"Mr. N.B. Keeney, the well-known contractor of this city, is in receipt of a letter this week, announcing the death of Mr. George G. Rambo, of this city, which occurred at a hospital in Brooklyn, N.Y., on the 15th inst., of heart failure.
"Mr. Rambo, it will be remembered, came to Miami last summer and built a home on his property in the Fort Dallas Park, where he resided with his wife until the 6th inst., when he went to Brooklyn to have an operation performed for rupture, received while working around his premises in the early spring.
"The information states that Mr. Rambo entered the hospital on the 1th (sic), but that he had not been operated upon at the timt (sic) of death.
"Mrs. Rambo, yho (sic) had not been staying with him at the hospital, fortunately, was present there when the end came. The body was taken to Bloomfield, N.J., and interred in the family burial ground.
"Mr. Rambo was a native of Montgomery, Ala., but had resided in Florida since 1880, making Leesburg his home and being married there in 1893 to Miss Miss (sic) Elizabeth W. Lees. He was a successful businessman and had many friends here who regret his death."
