He was married to Nancy Cornelia Hunt about 1881 in Pike Co, Ar. They had 7 children. Following Cornelia's death, J T married Dessie Sturch on Jul 3, 1914 in Sulphur Springs, Hopkins Co, Tx. They had 4 children.
