Mrs. Cecil was a native of Unicoi County and a daughter of the late Dolphus and Mary Hensley Runion. She was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith.
Survivors include: two daughters, Mildred Helen Cecil, Erwin, and Thelma Ayers, Unicoi; one half-sister, Louise Garry, Baltimore, Maryland; three grandchildren, Richard William Pitsenbarger, Carl Lee William Burns, and Alice Horn, all of Erwin; four great-grandchildren, Dillon Lee Lynn Pitsenbarger, Dezray Fay Sara Pitsenbarger, Lisa Marie Horn, and Kimberly Sue Horn; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Cecil is interred at Upper Higgins Creek Cemetery.
