LAKE WYLIE -- Mrs. Margaret "Peggie" Kersh Tuttle, 90, died Sunday, Feb. 12, 2006, at home. A graveside service will be held in April at Arlington National Cemetery. A native of Richmond, Va., Mrs. Tuttle was a daughter of the late Edward Kersh and Louise Kersh. She was educated in Tuscaloosa, Ala., and New York City. She worked as a professional model in New York City, served as head of the Special Forces Mission Wives Club and was a member of Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in York. Surviving are her husband, retired Col. William B. Tuttle Jr.; her son, Dr. Nicholas H. Tuttle of Rock Hill; her daughter, Louisa T. Patterson of Hickory, N.C.; her brother, Earle Kersh of Brevard, N.C.; and five grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, Memorial and Tributes Processing Center, P.O. Box 5216 Glen Allen, VA 23058.
