Age 86, daughter of the late Stephen P. and Ruth Wilkins O'Connell. She graduated from Millcreek High School in Erie. She married Harrison (Jimmy) DeVere Bennett October 15, 1939. He died on February 24, 1963. She worked at Trask, Prescott and Richards Department Store in Erie for many years as a buyer. After the death of her husband, Jimmy, she moved to Orem, Utah in 1965. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. At Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, she worked as a payroll supervisor; she retired from employment in 1982. She enjoyed travelling.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Ella Mae (Charles) O'Connell Kelly; and her brothers, James Stephen (Frances) O'Connell, Thomas William O'Connell, and Stephen Paul O'Connell.
She is survived by her daughter, Lynetta (Thomas Mark) Bennett Wolsey, of Orem, Utah; two sisters, Ruth (Ernest) Staaf of Erie, Pa. and Winifred (James) Schrecengost of Mendon, Ohio; a brother, Robert William O'Connell; her sisters-in-law, Merry O'Connell and Dorothy O'Connell of Erie, Pa.; four grandchildren, T; eight great-grandchildren.
Interment, Laurel Hill Cemetery.
