Carla J. Gilliland, 46 was born to Rebecca J. Johnson and the late Carl R. Gilliland on July 26, 1967, at the Bloomington Hospital. Carla passed away on July 10, 2014.
Carla was a 1985 graduate of Edgewood High School, and was a 26-year General Electric employee at the Bloomington plant until 2013, when she retired. She lived most of her adult life around Ellettsville. She enjoyed photography, quilt making, tie-dying shirts and many other crafts.
Carla is survived by her husband, Aaron Wampler; daughter, Kattie J. Gilliland (fiance David Killion) of Bloomington; mother, Rebecca J. Johnson of Ellettsville; and brother, Andy Gilliland of Indianapolis. Carla was preceded in death by her father, Carl R. Gilliland and stepfather, Larry A. Johnson in 2008.
Her son, Parker Taylor Gilliland-Wampler, also preceded her in death.
