John Cloyd "Hart" Boyer, 84, passed away Monday, July 28, 2014, in Fort Worth. Graveside service: 3 p.m. Thursday in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 2 to 3 p.m. Thursday at Mount Olivet. Hart was born Oct. 20, 1929, to Robert McKinley and Viola Ann Aucutt Boyer. He married Imogene Alsup on June 3, 1949, and they were married 63 years. In 1958, John and Imogene started Thermo Plastics Corp., which is still in operation today, 56 years later. Hart was a pioneer in the plastics industry. Through hard work and dedication, he built the company into what it is today. His honesty and integrity were known throughout the industry. He was an avid animal lover. He and Imogene took in strays and loved all their animals. Hart was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church of Fort Worth. He was preceded in death by his wife, Imogene; his parents; and sister, Vivian Doherty. Survivors: Son, John L. Boyer; daughter, Patricia Neal; grandson, Andrew Neal and wife, Lindsey; grandson, Barry Neal and Marissa Lillis; great-granddaughter, Abbey Neal; great-grandson, Drew Neal; and sister, Bobbie Kee.
