RICHMOND, Va./ DERBY, Va. — Kenneth Ray Snodgrass Sr., 69, went to be with the Lord on Thursday (July 24, 2014) at the McGuires V.A. Hospital in Richmond, Va.
Kenneth was formerly a resident of Derby, Va. He was a veteran of the United States Army, where he served his country honorably and had retired with many dedicated years of service from Reynolds Aluminum.
He was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Ray Snodgrass of Richmond Va.; his parents, Edward and Margaret Snodgrass of Derby; sisters, Shirley Williams and Charlotte Hubbard of Derby; one brother, Fred Snodgrass of Big Stone Gap Va.
Kenneth is survived by his wife of 50 years, Clara Snodgrass; one daughter, Sandra Groff; grandchildren, Ciera Newby and Gabriel Gauge Groff, all of Richmond Va.; one brother, Edward Snodgrass and wife Patsy of Chesterfield, Va.; one sister, Alice McDonald and husband Rev. Billy McDonald of Derby, Va.; several other close relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held Thursday at the Chester Chapel of the J.T. Morris and Son Funeral Home. Interment with military honors will follow at Bermuda Memorial Park Chester, Va. Holding Funeral Home is serving the local family
