Alma Puckett Glover, 93 of Groves, Texas, died peacefully July 22, 2014 at Mid-Jefferson Extended Care Hospital.

She was born Thursday, November 26, 1920 in Monroe, Oklahoma.

She grew up in Annona, Texas and finished High School there. She met the love of her life, Luther, while working at the Lone Star Defense Plant in Texarkana, Texas. They moved to Port Arthur in 1944.

Alma was a dedicated Witness of Jehovah and was baptized on November 11, 1950. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Alma was an avid gardener, enjoyed working puzzles, was an expert seamstress, loved crocheting, and never hesitated to lend a helping hand. She had great strength and intelligence. Her love of animals will never be forgotten. Her family remembers her kindness, cheerfulness, friendliness, acceptance and unconditional love.

In addition to her parents, Olin (Pete) and Maggie Puckett, she was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Glover of 67 years in 2010, one sister and three brothers.

Alma is survived by her two daughters: Marilyn Duhon and husband Gerard; Janet Tate and husband Gerald; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild on the way.

Interment: Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches, Texas
