CAROLINE HANSEN

Mrs. Caroline Hansen, 86, died Sunday at 10 p.m. at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. W. Nibley at Midvale, of infirmities incident to age.
Mrs. Hansen was born September 24, 1847, in Lund, Sweden. She crossed the plains with the handcart company in 1861, arriving in Salt Lake City in 1863. She was married to Andrew Hansen in the old Endowment house in Salt Lake City in 1867. She lived here for one year after her marriage and then moved to Midvale, where she had resided since.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Dave Smith, Draper; Mrs. C. A. Williams, Murray, and Mrs. J. W. Nibley, Murray (sic); 20 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Midvale First L.D.S. ward chapel. Bishop Rasmussen will officiate. Friends may call at the home of Mrs. Nibley in Midvale Wednesday from 10 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Interment will be in the Midvale cemetery.
