John Gardner Oliver is the first husband of Nancy Ann Knott Allmond (second husband is Thomas Port Knox Allmond). They moved to Arkansas sometime in the 1880's with their children: Henry Sampson Oliver, Cora Jean Oliver, and Marvin Howard Oliver. They had three more children in Gainesville: Pearl Esther Oliver, Charles Lee Oliver, and Lula Frances Oliver. According to his granddaughter, Louise Oliver Garner, he is buried in Gainesville, probably near Nancy Ann.
