Ethel was born September 26, 1921 in Dixon, the daughter of Charles & Augusta Treece Entwistle.
She married Howard R. McKay on January 14, 1944; he preceded her in death on September 24, 1984.
Ethel was a homemaker and an accomplished seamstress. She enjoyed sports, especially baseball, and loved attending her childrens activities and sporting events. She had also been an election judge.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Howard & Ruth McKay of Memphis, TN and Donald & Cecilia McKay of Dallas, TX; one daughter, Kathy Jackson of Kankakee; seven grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Ruth; and two brothers, Charles and Freddy.
Visitation will be held 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais. Rev. Scott Henley will officiate the service.
Interment will follow at Kankakee Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Aroma Twp.
