Robert William Mower, age 77, died at home in St. George, Utah, on July 25, 2014. Bob was born April 19, 1937, in Springville, Utah, to Winnie Maralda Garlick and Wilford Arnold Mower.

He married Beverly Doerr in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on June 27, 1957; she preceded him in death. He married Carrol LaRae Kirkpatrick on November 9, 1960, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple; they later divorced. He married Susan McArthur on April 19, 1980, in the St. George LDS Temple.

Bob taught high school and college science, and he worked in the utilities industry. He served 19 years in the Army National Guard. He served faithfully in LDS church callings, including several years as Bishop. He also served a mission at LDS Employment Resources. He loved his family, students, colleagues, ward members, and friends.

He is survived by his wife Susan; children Melissa (Carter) Despain, Maren Stevens, Cris Westerfield, Michael (Julie) Mower, David (Mary) Mower, Lori (Paul) Hofman, Darci (Danny) Watson, Debbie (Dale) Garrettson; and 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by wife Beverly; his parents; two brothers, Stanley and Greg; two grandchildren, Alissa Keep and Tyler Hibler; and son-in-law Darren Westerfield.

The family especially thanks Doctor Staheli and Deni; Dixie Therapy and Hospice; Steve, Jace, and Tyler Bennett; Paul Cochran; Travis, Tyson, and Gavin Graff; Will Hokanson; Matt Humphrey; Ann Miller; Curtis Peters; Jade Jensen; the Young Men of the Morningside 4th Ward; and the remarkably accommodating staff at Burger King and Dennys.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 29, 2014, at 2 p.m. at the Morningside Chapel (900 South and approximately 700 East) in St. George. Friends and family may visit before the service from 12:30 to 1:45 at the church. Interment will be in the original St. George City Cemetery.
