Henry Joseph Acardo
Died at 12:30 a.m. Sunday at his home, 915 Westmoreland Dr. He was 72, a native of Donaldsonville and a barber and former owner of Henry"s Barbershop, 3153 Government St. He was a member of the Master Barber Association. Body at Rabenhorst Funeral Home from 10 a.m. to midnight Monday and from 7 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. Tuesday. Rosary at 7 p.m. Monday. Religious services at Sacred Heart Catholic at 10 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Daniel Walsh officiating. Burial in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lena Gagliano Acardo, a son, Joseph H. Acardo of Baton Rouge; A daughter, Mrs. L. E. Hetrick of Houston, Tex.; six brothers, Joe, Pascal, Sam and Anthony Arcardo, all of Hester, Vince of New Orleans and Frank of Rockford, Ill.; five sisters, Mrs. Jimmy Toscano of Hester, Mrs. Sam Cangelosi and Mrs. Sam Combise, both of Kenner, Mrs. John Oliveri of Birmingham, Ala., and Mrs. Joe Cicero of Rockford, Ill.; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
