Warren Spurgeon Daniel was born Feb 27, 1898 in Cross Timbers, Hickory Co., MO, the fourth of five sons born to Charles Spurgeon Daniel and Josephine Elizabeth Marsh. Warren married Agnes Odetta Street Jan 15, 1924 in Lone Star, Floyd Co., TX. Together Warren and Agnes had two children - one daughter and one son.

In 1900 Warren is in Cross Timbers, Hickory Co., MO with his parents and his three older brothers. His father is 40, has been married 14 years and is a farmer; his mother is 30 and has had four children that are living; Warren is two. Warren's older brother Herbert Lee died in 1905 at the age of 16. He tried to rob a bank and was shot in the back by the sheriff. Warren's father died of cancer in 1906. Their family was coming from Missouri in a covered wagon and he got really sick in Banger, Oklahoma and went to the doctor. He had cancer everywhere. They didn't even sew him up. He died and is buried there. So in 1910 Warren is in Briscoe Co., TX with his mother and two of his brothers. Warren is 12 and attended school.

In 1920 Warren is in Lockney, Floyd Co., TX with his mother and two of his brothers. He is 21 and a laborer on the home farm. He married Agnes Street in 1924, so in 1930 he is in Floyd Co., TX with his wife and their daughter who is 3 1/2 years old. Warren is 32, a farmer and was 26 when he married. In 1940 he is in Floyd Co., TX with his wife and their two children. He is 42, a farmer, and completed the 7th grade.

Warren was called Barney by his first family. His younger brother Floyd couldn't say Warren, so it evolved into Barney. His wife Agnes was called Bill. Warren became a barber in the 1950s and owned a barbershop, and was a barber for many years. He died May 9, 1982 at the age of 84 of arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease and acute alcohol intoxification. He lived in a nursing home, found a bottle of alcohol at the nurses's station, and drank the entire bottle, which killed him.
