Rev. Robbins was a traveling evangelist for 22 years before serving as a missionary in the West Indies for 20 years. He attended Skinner Worship Chapel, Cass County.

Rev. Robbins was born in Bluffton to Jesse and Goldie Webb Robbins. His marriage was 15 October 1934 to Virginia Alma Beverforden. She died on Dec. 22, 2000.

Survivors include three sons, Paul Robbins, West Chicago, Ill., Jim Robbins, Van Wert, Ohio, and Tom Robbins, Logansport; two daughters, Sharon Spunger, Las Vegas, and Miriam Stout, Peru; and a sister, Melba Rusher, Berne.

A son, John Robbins, a daughter, Carroll Pickett, and three brothers preceded him in death.

Services with his sons, the Revs. Tom Robbins, Paul Robbins and Jim Robbins officiating. Burial will be in the Skinner Christian Cemetery.
