Linda Charlene Sharp, 64, of Liberty, MO and a former Mendon, MO resident died on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at the Liberty Hospital. Graveside services will be held in the Mendon Cemetery, Mendon, MO, Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. Gail Brown officiating. Mrs. Sharp will lie state at the Breshears Memorial Chapel, Mendon, MO, Wednesday after 9:00 A.M. Visitation will be at the Chapel, Wednesday, form 12:30 – 1:30 P.M. She was born on August 25, 1949 at Triplett, MO the daughter of Homer Franklin and Golda Myrtle Frizzell Sharp. She graduated from Northwestern High School at Mendon, MO in 1967. She had been a homemaker in her own home and had also worked for the Whittaker Cable Company in Brookfield, MO several years ago. She was a member of the Mendon Christian Church. She is survived by one daughter, Tonya O'Banion and her husband Joseph of Excelsior Springs, MO; two sisters, Sue York of Brookfield, MO and Olivia Storey of Kansas City, MO; four brothers, Forest Sharp and his wife Ruth of Hale, MO, Rex Sharp and his wife Janet of Atlanta, GA, Dean Sharp of Valrico FL and Keith Sharp of Hardin, MO; and two grandchildren, Brianna and Joseph O'Banion. She was preceded in death by her parents, one infant son and five brothers. Pallbearers will be Forest Lee Sharp, Dennis Storey, Darby Sharby, Aaron York, Kenny Sharp and Galen Sharp. Honorary Pallbearer will be Bo Sharp. Memorials may be made to: Tony O'Banion for the Charlene Sharp Memorial Fund.
