Truly May Kreiger, 74, of 3389 Stoneridge Road, died at 3:55 a.m. yesterday at the York County Hospital and Home where she had been a resident for the past eight months. She was the wife of Edgar William Kreiger Sr. Mrs. Kreiger was a member of the Yorkshire United Methodist Church and former Sunday School teacher. She had worked as a practical nurse, was a den mother with the Cub Scouts and, with her husband, participated in many patriotic presentations and programs. She was born May 23, 1914, in Ambridge, Beaver County, a daughter of the George and Margaret Herman Albert. Survivors include: Four daughters -- Trulymay Allison, Thomasville, Diane Gladfelter, Manchester, Susan Baker, East Berlin; and Lynn Zerphey, Lebanon. Two sons -- Dr. Edgar William Kreiger Jr., York, and David Kreiger. Eight grandchildren. A brother -- George H. Albert, York. Seven sisters -- Margaret McCaffery, York; Ruth Holt, Baltimore; Betty Rohrbaugh, Dallastown; June Emig, Lake Placid, FL; Kathleen Desrosiers, Lawerence, Mass; Barbara Thompson, York; and Patrica Synder, Red Lion. No viewing. Visitation will be 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday at the Yorkshire United Methodist Church. 125 Edgewood Road. The service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the church with the Rev. Richard F. Brenneman, her pastor and Rev. Bruce F. Knisley, her former pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Stony Brook Mennonite Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Yorkshire United Methodist Church, 125 Edgewood Road, York, PA. 17402. The Morgan E. Frey Funeral Home Inc., 1223 N. George Street, is in charge of arrangements.
