COBBTOWN - Mr. James Albert Akins, 62, of 3562 Canoochee Road, Cobbtown died early Thursday morning October 8, 2009 after a sudden illness. Mr. Akins was a native of Tattnall County, had resided in Pooler for many years and in Cobbtown for the past five years. He was owner and operator of Snack Unlimited Vending Company and was a farmer. He was a member and a deacon of the Metter Church of God. Mr. Akins is survived by his wife Vickey Akins of Cobbtown, two daughters Aundrea and Alyssa Akins both of Cobbtown, his father Henry Akins of Lyons, two brothers, Charles Hubert Akins of Powder Springs, Joseph Henry Akins of Jesup, one sister, Elizabeth Hightower of Norfolk, VA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 pm. Funeral Services for Mr. James Albert Akins will be conducted Saturday afternoon October 10, 2009 at 2:00 from the Stewart Funeral Service chapel of Vidalia with Rev. Nathan Smith and Rev.
