Lavelle Renfroe Brinson, 92 of Wrightsville entered into eternal rest, Friday evening, July 25, 2014 after an extended illness. Mrs. Brinson was born in Kite, GA, April 12, 1922 to the late Rev. Carlos H. and Lourene Kight Renfroe. Mrs. Brinson has lived in Johnson County all of her life.Mrs. Brinson was a member of Brown Memorial Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was employed as a Kindergarten Teacher at Brown Memorial Baptist Church Pre-K, she taught piano, she was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, and was an active member of the Woodmen of the World.Mrs. Brinson was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward Brinson; two sons, Tim and Tony Brinson; three sisters, Zelma Fulmer, Ellene Brantley and Marjorie Norton.
Funeral services will be held at Brown Memorial Baptist Church, Sunday afternoon, July 27, 2014 at 3:00 P.M. Interment will follow at Kite City Cemetery. Rev. Allen Meeks will be the officiating minister.Visitation will be held at Brown Memorial Baptist Church prior to the service from 2:00 P.M to service time.In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that contributions be given to an organization of your choice.
