Funeral Services for a longtime Valley County resident, Mrs. Katherine Zikmund, were held Sunday afternoon at the First Presbyterian Church in Ord.
Mrs. Zikmund died May 30, at the Valley County Hospital after a brief illness. She was 73 years old.
Rev. Kenneth Bunnell officiated at the 2:30 pm services. Interment was in the Ord City Cemetery with Hastings-Pearson Mortuary in charge.
Born at Richmond, Mo., on Mar. 5, 1896, Mrs. Zikmund was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael McNamee. At the age of 11 she came with her parents to Nebraska. Her home had been in Valley County since her marriage to William Zikmund on May 26, 1923, at Gering. Mr. Zikmund died July 6, 1961.
She is survived by two sons, Leroy and Lores Lee, both of Ord; two daughters, Mrs. Vivian Williams of Ord and Mrs. Ardis McIntyre of Denver, Colo.; three brothers, Robert McNamee of Kearney, Wilbur McNamee of Groveport, Ohio, and Raymond McNamee of Eugene, Ore.; three sisters, Mrs. Anna Ackerman and Mrs. Rose Rorabeck, both of Casper, Wyo., and Mrs. Martha Chilewski of Comstock; plus three grandchildren.
Her parents and four brothers also preceded her in death.
