Fort Bend Herald, July 27, 2014:

Funeral services for Jimmie Moleen Carlile Pond, age 86, of Needville, Texas, will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 29th at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg with Dodie Osteen officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, July 28th at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral in Rosenberg.

Pallbearers will include grandsons: David Hoover, Cody Tyler, Trey Hoover, Chris Svatek, Sean Novosad, and Josh Novosad.

Jimmie was born December 19, 1927 in Beckham County, Oklahoma to Leonard and Mae Alexander Carlile, and she passed away on July 24, 2014 to be with Our Heavenly Father. She attended school in Pike, Oklahoma. She was a founding owner of Texas Burger in Needville, Texas. She was a faithful follower of Joel Osteen with Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas.

She was very passionate about her family, enjoyed attending her grandkids' school and sports activities, gardening, and reading. Jimmie considered her life achievement being a wife, mother, homemaker, and grandparent.

Jimmie is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald H. Pond; son-in-law, Michael Novosad; parents, Leonard and Mae Carlile; in-laws, Otho and Lexie Pond; brothers, Chick and Sterile Carlile; sisters, Cleta Jones, Mary Ella Carlile, and Lea Evans.

She is survived by daughters, Linda Tyler and husband, Jerry of Centerville, Texas, Rita Svatek and husband, Dale, and LaVone Novosad, both of Needville, Texas; son, Carlile Pond, also of Needville, Texas. She is also survived by her brother, Sonny Carlile of Mexia, Texas; grandchildren, Nicole and Ben Carrigan, Cody and Simona Tyler, David and Lacey Hoover, Trey and Candacy Hoover, Raeven and Eric Lehmann, Chris and Kaitlyn Svatek, Heather, Sean, and Josh Novosad, Hope, Megan, Avery, and Amber Pond; great-grandchildren, Chase, Morgan, Kailey, and Chance Carrigan, Elexis, Austin, and Bryant Tyler, Shayna, Aubrey, Briley, Fayth, and Braelyn Hoover, Dakotah, and Sienna Lehmann, Leila and Sophie Moleen Svatek, and Cash Castillo, great-great grandson, Joeseph Long; numerous nieces and nephews, and her faithful canine companion, Mon'et.
