Carl Winfield Loomis of rural Osceola died at his home Friday, January 23. Services will be held at 1:30 p. m. Tuesday, January 27 from the Webster-Kale Funeral Home with Rev. Roy Ives officiating. Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery (Osceola, IA.).

Carl Winfield Loomis, 62, was born in Clarke County, IA September 28, 1918, the son of Roy Clarence and Ollie Audlehelm Loomis. He attended the Clarke County Schools and on May 27 was united in marriage to Mabel Lucille Fulton. They were the parents of three children.

He is survived by his wife, Lucille, of Osceola; daughters, Shirley Lucille Cameron and husband, Elmer, of Davis City and Sharon Kramer and husband, Herbert, of Creston; son, Ron Loomis, and wife, Janis, of Kellerton; eight grandchildren; one brother, Clarence of Thayer; sister, Grace Tuttle of Winterset and an aunt Grace Audlehelm of Murray.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two infant brothers.
