GEORGE W. LUTHER
Of 1006 Eighth avenue, died at 4.30 o'clock this morning in the Altoona hospital where he was admitted last Sunday after an extended illness. He was born at Carrolltown April 13, 1891, a son of Thomas and Walburga (Eger) Luther, and retired as a carpenter in the Altoona works planing mill in March of last year after 30 years of service. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Effie (Smith) Luther; the following children: Mrs. George Keen of Pleasant Hill, Calif., Mrs. William Reidy of Syracuse, N.Y., Miss Louise of Philadelphia, Mrs. Carl Ford and Joseph of Hollidaysburg, three step-children, Mrs. Helen Garner of Altoona, Mrs. Hazel Mallon of Elk Ridge, Md., and Kenneth Shaw of Roaring Spring; 10 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and two sisters, Mrs. Stella Crock of Pittsburgh and Mrs. Catherine Freidhof of Cresson. Mr. Luther was of the Catholic faith. Friends will be received at the N.A. Stevens mortuary after 7 o'clock tomorrow evening.

LUTHER—Funeral services for George W. Luther of 1006 Eighth avenue, will be held at 10 o'clock Tuesday morning in the N.A. Stevens mortuary. Interment in Calvary cemetery. Friends are being received at the N.A. Stevens mortuary.
