Mr. Allen was a farmer in the Levi community most of his life, was a member of the Levi Gin Association and an election official for that area.
Survivors: daughter, Edith Allen Hobbs of Decatur ALA.; sisters, Doris Hobbs, Velma Thedford and Helen Seawright all of Waco TX and Ollie Kirkland of Houston TX; and two grandchildren.
