Geneva Jane Wilkins Durham was born on January 15, 1921, in Indianapolis and passed away on Monday, July 21, 2014 in Indianapolis, IN.

Geneva was the daughter of Elmer Arthur Wilkins and Edna Mae B. Poindexter Wilkins. She graduated from Arsenal Tech H.S. in 1939. On March 28, 1941 she married Raymond Charles Durham in Indianapolis, IN. They made their home in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Geneva was a founding member of St. Paul's UCC, St. Luke's UCC and then Immanuel United Church of Christ, The Red Hat Society and the Foresters.

Geneva will be especially remembered for her participation in Scouts, Hawthorne Social Center and the Eden Seminary. She also served as a board member at the Indiana-Kentucky Conferences.

Survivors include her 6 children: Sandra Rae (Philip Lee Sr.) Smith of Fenton, Michigan, Michael Ray Durham of Morgantown; IN., Judith Kay (Jessie Wilson) Lowe of Danville, IN. Janet Sue (Darryll Monte) Pingleton of Indianapolis, IN., Stephen Charles (Terri Louder) Durham of Mooresville, IN., and Forrest Andrew (Jo Saruay) Durham of San Antonio, TX. She will also be survived by her 18 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and 9 great-great grandchildren.

Geneva was preceded in death by her husband Raymond C. Durham on Nov. 1, 1987.
