Lorraine Prescott was born in Boston, Massachusetts in 1924. She was the first daughter of Carlton Ambrose Prescott and Mary Catherine Frazier. Lorraine had three younger sisters: Marjorie, Geraldine, and Carol. In the 1940's, Lorraine married Francis Baker. They had three sons: William, John, and Paul. Later, Lorraine would marry Robert Mooney, and they had one daughter, named Donna. She had two stepchildren, Rick and Lynn.

She worked as a leasing clerk for the Bank of Boston for 10 years, retiring in 1990.

Mrs. Mooney lived in Quincy for 36 years.

She was a member of the Castle Island Association. She loved to sew, make curtains and baby clothes for her grandchildren, play cards and travel with her friends. She volunteered at Little Sister of the Poor.

She died Tuesday, April 19, 2005, at home in Squantum. She was 80 years old.

Lorraine was a very loving mother, and a wonderful grandmother. She was beautiful all her life, and she is dearly missed every day.
