Arthur A. Contreras Sr., age 66, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2014.
Arthur is survived by his wife, Joanne, children, Arthur Contreras Jr. and his wife, Monica, Shannon Armijo and her husband, Will J., Ashley Herrera and her husband, Joey, and Jessica Sánchez, sisters, Sara Cruz and her husband, Dennis and Thelma García and Mike, brother, John "Scotty" Contreras, grandchildren, Sonjia, Simon, Starlynn, Jasmine, Lilyana and Analiese and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Braulia Contreras and sister, Jean Hernández.
Visitation will be on Thursday, July 24, 2014 in the Gabaldón Memorial Chapel from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Final visitation will be on Friday, July 25, 2014 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. in the Gabaldón Memorial Chapel with a Funeral Service at 10:00 a.m., Pastor Gary Russell, presider. Interment will follow at the San José de Armijo Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mike Baca, Dennis Cruz, David Córdova, Art Sánchez, Scotty Contreras and Peter Espiñosa. Honorary pallbearers will be Dominic Contreras, Desi García and Tommy Sánchez.
