LAST RITES FOR MRS. ARCHER ARE HELD ON SUNDAY.
The funeral of Mrs. Lanie Archer was held Sunday afternoon with interment in Hasley cemetery. Rev. H. W. Ledbetter officiated and a crowd of friends followed the body to its last resting place.
Mrs. Archer was 72 years old and lived in West Monroe with her son, Ed Archer. She was a native of Farmerville, but moved to Monroe twenty years ago.
Though a cripple for a score of years and compelled to get about in a rolling chair, Mrs. Archer never complained but was always cheerful, as she moved among her friends in her chair. She was ill but a day or two when death came.
She is survived by one son, Ed Archer, with whom she resided, four grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Bell Miles of [Downsville], Mrs. Milly Kennedy of Farmerville and two brothers.
*Wife of Henry Archer.
