My Great-Great-Grandmother. Lupe was born on March 5, 1894 in Juarez, Mexico to Ramon Sanchez and Cipriana Martinez. She married Rafael Negrete on January 5, 1915 in Los Angeles, California, and had 3 children Ralph Joseph, Gilbert Joseph and Marie Carmen. She was an extra in movies in the 1920's. She was also voted Mother of the Year in 1963 by Mamie Eisenhower for raising many foster children. She fosterd 355 children. Lupe passed away on March 21, 1978 in Los Angeles, California at the age of 83. She was predeceased in death by her husbands Rafael Negrete and Manuel Haro, parents Ramon and Cipriana Sanchez, Granddaughter Loretta Negrette, Sister Andrea Sanchez and Brother Andres Sanchez. She was survived by her Sons Ralph Negrette and wife June of Norwalk, CA and Gilbert Negrette and wife Angela of Hayward, California, Daughter Marie King and husband Charles of Rowland Heights, CA, 14 Grandchildren, 20 Great-Grandchildren, Sisters Ramona Swallow and husband Joe of Baldwin Park, CA, Jessie Masing of Long Beach, CA and Jenny Playter and husband Frank of Otis, OR. As of 2019 she has 11 Grandchildren, 25 Great-Grandchildren, 38 Great-Great-Grandchildren and 7 Great-Great-Great-Grandchildren.
