RUBY TIPTON HARR, 86, 4700 Sanford Ave., Sanford, died Tuesday, Jan. 4. Mrs. Harr was a cafeteria manager. Born in Bakersfield, N.C., she moved to Central Florida in 1986. She was Presbyterian. Survivors: son, Thomas A. Tipton, Sanford; three grandchildren; one great-grandson. Gramkow Funeral Home, Sanford.
After the death of her second husband, Frank Harr of Bristol, she moved to be with her son and his children in Sanford, Florida. She lived with them until she required assisted nursing care in the early 1990's. Her grandson told me that he will never forget how wonderful her fried chicken and biscuits were. Like most of the Ledford women, her culinary skills were legendary. She was a loving mother and grandmother and she will be dearly missed.
2nd Husband was Frank Harr who died abt. 1980 in Bristol, VA. Burial site is unknown to me.
