George W. "Bill" Adams , 73, of Thorndike St. passed away July 18, 2014. Born November 17, 1940 in Ware, MA, he was the son of George S. and Ida (Chartier) Adams. Bill has lived in Palmer since 1977, previously of Ware. He did his apprenticeship as a tool maker at Springfield Armory, continuing on at Quabbin Industries in Ware, then onto Hanson Group in Ludlow, where he was a project manager. He retired from sales at North East Specialty Steel Corp in CT. Bill was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman. He was secretary and treasurer of the Western MA Flyfisherman, where he also taught fly tying classes. Bill was also a part of Nenameseck Sportsman Club in Ware. His family fondly smiled as they remembered all of their vacationing revolved around water and where he could fish. He will be greatly missed by his, wife, Mary "Mitzi" G. (Cloutier), along with his three daughters, Terri Adams of Wilbraham, Diane Munro of Three Rivers, and Donna Adams and Kevin Quesnel of Monson along with two grandchildren, Stephani Quesnel, and Samantha Quesnel and one great grandson, Cameron Hebert. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home. A memorial service will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at First Church in Monson followed by burial in Glendale Cemetery, Wilbraham.
