Norma Elizabeth Babb Simmons

Mrs. Norma Elizabeth Babb Simmons age 94, passed away Saturday, July 19, 2014. Services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 22, at the chapel of Moores Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Hargrove officiating. Burial will follow at Baldwin Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Mrs. Simmons was a native and life long resident of Baldwin County. She was a homemaker and a retired LPN with Baldwin County Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents Lonnie L. and Alice Elizabeth Babb and her husband Thomas Dorsey Simmons, Sr. and a granddaughter Emily Michelle Deraney. She was a member of Black Springs Baptist Church.

Survivors include four sons, Thomas D. Simmons, Jr. (Gayle), Randy Simmons (Karen), Darryl Simmons (Virginia) and Michael Simmons all of Milledgeville, two daughters Meri S. Barclay (Thomas) of Milledgeville and Alice Simmons of Baton Rouge, LA, a sister Anita Raney of Jackson, 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moores Funeral Home.

Moores Funeral Home & Crematory has charge of arrangements.
